Missionary Bertha Kenan, was saved as a teenager and became a member of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Newark, New Jersey. The late Bishop Howard Smith was her pastor. She accepted her call to the ministry and worked diligently in several areas of her local Church.
After her marriage to Rev. W. C. Kenan the couple relocated to Gallup, New Mexico. While in New Mexico, Missionary Kenan served as the State Chairlady of the New Mexico Jurisdiction Youth Department. In 1971 they left New Mexico and moved to Midland,Texas, where she has served as District Missionary, along with several other district and jurisdictional positions within the Church of God in Christ.
She was a gifted and anointed woman of God. At Faith Temple, she faithfully served as Director of Women?s Ministries, an Administrative Assistant to the Pastor, President of the Mission Department, and a member of the Mother?s Board.
Missionary Kenan had the opportunity to minister in various settings. She ministered through teaching, workshops, seminars, conferences, revivals, radio and television ministries. She and her husband were founders of the Faith Temple Church and the Spiritual Explosion.
